Knock Your Socks Off
The jury’s out on socks with cutout shoes. They’ve become a mainstay of the runways—Prada and Marni both showed them for Fall—and a favorite of the street-style photogs like our own Tommy Ton. Dissenters, on the other hand, say they’re too editorial for everyday wear. (Try the look at the office and be prepared to explain yourself.) But Bruno Frisoni’s having his cake and eating it, too. The covetable platform pumps he created for Fall with attached socks, one of Candy Pratts Price’s picks of the season, also come in a more commercial, sockless option. One way or the other, you’re covered—or uncovered, as the case may be.
