Yea, Nay, Or Eh? Made You Look

Some starlets blend in on the red carpet. Kate Hudson’s gone out of her way to ensure that she’s not one of them. At last night’s premiere of her new thriller The Killer Inside Me at Tribeca, Hudson chose Louis Vuitton’s eye-catching Op-inspired poncho from the label’s pre-fall collection. Was it a good move? Well, we certainly didn’t miss her. Kate’s got personality enough to stand up to big designs, but the geometric print feels overwhelming (and its central chevron motif reminds us a little of Charlie Brown’s sweater). Underneath, a high-necked, paneled Louis dress hits closer to the mark, but feels more cocktail to us than carpet. What do you think? Has Kate earned her stripes, or is this a poncho better saved for a rainy day?

Oh man i LOVED this look! so glamorous and chic!
Yea! That is wonderful! So glamorous, but yet keeps her bohemian style with the cape. Lovely.
I liked the idea of the poncho and the standard black and white, a classic color combination for a stylish look and great personality.

To be beautiful one must be unhurried.
Personality is needed, there is to much sameness in this world a desire to be liked.
To be different is to be alone.
Stunning! I love the poncho and the dress. A mix of old school glamor with a modern twist. Kate looks great.

No, I’d lose the poncho – but am loving the dress!
