Chicer Than A Rabbit’s Foot
Carey Mulligan’s good-luck charm from BAFTA night 2010? Might well have been her custom floral Vionnet gown (pictured). (She nabbed the Best Actress trophy at the U.K. awards.) If it did bring her good vibes, she’s passing them on—she’s donated the dress to Oxfam, a British charity that supports women’s projects around the world, fighting violence and promoting education and HIV/AIDS awareness. It goes on view at the Oxfam “Curiosity Shoppe” at Selfridges this Friday, but hits the auction block to raise funds for the nonprofit beginning Thursday at 10 a.m. at www.oxfam.org.uk/curiosityshop.
