Style.com’s Fashion Feed brings you the best of the news around the Web and on Twitter, and ranks the most-discussed designers, labels, models, and celebrities. In our new weekly series, we’ll be calling out the top five designers of the previous week (with our handy gloss on the hows and whys).

1. Marc Jacobs (pictured; last week: 3)
The unofficial dean of American fashion got the nod in just about every Costume gala wrap-up—Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe wore his designs for MJ, and Maggie Gyllenhaal and Rachel Bilson, LV—but we can’t lie: A little timely gossip about him and beau Lorenzo Martone helped boost him up, too.

2. Christian Louboutin (last week: N/A)
The last of Louboutin’s three limited-editions Barbies—this one the Anemone Barbie—arrived at Net-a-Porter, throwing red-sole fanatics into a frenzy.

3. Victoria Beckham (last week: 1)
At the Met gala? Nah, Mrs. Becks strutted her stuff in London—and is such a tabloid draw that even across the ocean from the Met, she didn’t fall below the top 5.

4. Diane von Furstenberg (last week: N/A)
DVF chairs the CFDA, hits the Met ball, pays tribute to mothers with a new philanthropic initiative, attends the announcement of IMG Fashion’s new Lincoln Center digs for NYFW…you know, just an average week.

5. Alexander Wang (last week: N/A)
Gisele. The Met. Enough said.
