Michelle, His Belle

There were plenty of designers (Donatella Versace, Jason Wu, Isabel Toledo, Tory Burch) and designer dresses (Renée Zellweger wore Carolina Herrera, Julianna Margulies chose Bottega Veneta, and Cynthia Nixon opted for Calvin Klein Collection) at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents Dinner. But only Prabal Gurung got to dress the First Lady. “I didn’t think that any feeling could compare to the first time Mrs. Obama wore a dress of mine,” Gurung told us. “But seeing that first image of her last night proved me wrong. I’m so proud.” Mrs. Obama’s fiery red matte jersey gown made an appearance in the designer’s Spring presentation in white. Any guesses what she’ll wear should she show up at the Costume Institute’s Party of the Year tonight?
