Olivier Theyskens Wants To Design For His Friends, Lindsay Wants Karl To Design For Her Ankle, And More…

May 28, 2010  11:09 am

Batman comics aren’t usually stocked alongside fashion mags, but that doesn’t mean they’re not pretty stylish all the same. (Catwoman totally beat nineties Gucci to sex and skintight leather, after all.) And on Monday at Colette, Sarah Lerfel and crew roll out a collection of pieces inspired by Batman, Catwoman, and their DC Comics stablemates for the publisher’s 75th anniversary. Karl Lagerfeld, Roger Vivier, and Lanvin’s Lucas Ossendrijver—who contributed the supremely awesome “Dog Batman” tee (pictured)—are among the designers participating. [WWD]

Olivier Theyskens was in London last night to fête his book The Other Side of the Picture, and had a few choice words about his upcoming Theory collaboration. As he told Susie Bubble, “As a designer, I’m not a guy that can be put in a niche. I’m a guy who can also put his mind to something more global and accessible. Also, I’ve always been hoping that my friends can buy what I design.” [Style Bubble]

Vice founder Gavin McInnes takes GQ through a few choice catastrophes of hipster-dude style. Those with sensitivities to man-clogs, spandex, and cloaks should not read on. [GQ]

And Lindsay Lohan took to Twitter yesterday to ask Chanel to dress up her court-ordered alcohol-monitoring anklet. Stay klassy, Lohan. [Styleite]
