Air O.C. Now Flying Direct To Saint-Tropez

The Saint-Tropez spirit’s in the air of late—the lucky ones actually get to vacation there (think the hordes that descended for Chanel’s Resort collection); the rest dream of it (like Marc Jacobs, who had And God Created Woman‘s Brigitte Bardot in mind for his Fall ’10 Vuitton collection, and again, it seemed, for Resort). And now comes—no surprise where trends are concerned—Opening Ceremony with its own range of French sandals. Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have convinced the classic Saint-Tropez cobblers at K. Jacques to do their first-ever collaboration, the fruits of which are now in store. Three women’s styles (a gladiator, a thong, and a crisscross model) and two men’s (a chunky-strap version and a fisherman’s sandal) come in a variety of colorways, from seashore blues to rainbow and python prints. They’re the shortest distance—not to mention cheapest fare—between you and la vie Tropézienne.
$245-305, available at www.openingceremony.us.
