Dad’s With The Band

Sunday, June 20, is Father’s Day. It’s arguably not the gift-giving event of the season—the old man has often had to make do with a well-intentioned card—but it’s a fine opportunity to smarten the guy up. For the big day, Band of Outsiders’ Scott Sternberg is sweetening the deal a bit: Buy one tie from Band’s new online shop, and get the second for 50 percent off. (He’ll even deliver it in special dad-delivery packaging, pictured, for the occasion.) Who’s the second one for? Sternberg suggests your stepdad (”do you have TWO DADS because of your parents’ selfish decision to get a divorce?”) or dad’s boyfriend (”do you have two GAY DUDES as dads?”). We’d add only that while these are valiant recommendations, maybe Pops himself deserves ‘em both.
