Is This The Face Of Resort?

As we run around town (and occasionally aboard yachts) for appointments this Resort season, one model keeps showing up: the gorgeous Argentinean Naomi Preizler, who snagged bookings for three lookbooks (so far): Richard Chai Love, Jenni Kayne, and the big-ticket Alexander Wang. Preizler is not a total newcomer—she walked in a few Spring ’10 shows in Paris, and another handful in the Fall (including Givenchy and Vivienne Westwood), but something’s clicking in New York for the 19-year-old Buenos Aires native right about now. Our bet? Look for her to make a big splash on the Spring ’11 runways here this September.

i agree that ms. naomi preizler is one of the hot new faces in the resort shows – among newish models, her entrancing compatriot ms. tati cotliar seems easily to have won the resort rankings, as of a week ago: ms. cotliar was 4th for donna karan, closed jason wu, and also walked (or presented) diane von furstenburg and chanel; lindsay wixson was 2d for yves saint-laurent and closed, and was 3rd last for mr. wu, admittedly impressive; other newer faces who have done well in resort include samantha gradoville (dk and ysl), kristy kaurova (wu and ysl); melissa tammerijn (burberry prorsum (alone!) and dior); and fei fei sun (dior and narciso rodriguez); the last week is still being tabulated !! \,,/ twitter
