On Our Radar: Mosley Tribes x Oliver Peoples’ “Lyndel”

Maybe it’s the season, but I feel like summer camp is all the rage. Suddenly everybody’s got a high-design line of friendship bracelets, the sort that the older-bunk girls spent six-week stretches knotting for themselves and others, and now, the latest frame from Mosley Tribes picks up my personal favorite summertime craft: Indian beading. Buried in a box somewhere, I’m sure I’ve still got the belts I dutifully strung in nouveau Native American style, but that was probably four waist sizes ago, anyway. The new Lyndel revives the style without the sweat. They’re extremely limited (jeweler Jenny Dayco has to bead each one by hand, so less than ten are being made) and unisex, so be prepared to fight both dudes and girls if you want a pair. Also, be prepared to pay—around the price of a week or two at camp, actually.
$695, available this July at select Oliver Peoples locations. To pre-order, call (310) 657-2553.
