Fresh From The Feed

July 6, 2010  4:34 pm

Style.com’s Fashion Feed brings you the best of the news around the Web and on Twitter, and ranks the most-discussed designers, labels, models, and celebrities. In our weekly series, we call out the top five designers of the previous week (with our handy gloss on the hows and whys).

1. Victoria Beckham (pictured; last week: 5)
It’s hardly a week without some new coming or going from the former Posh. Last week’s? The news that she’d signed on as a “creative design executive” for Range Rover.

2. Marc Jacobs (last week: 2)
The much-tattooed Jacobs gave his menswear models a dose of LV-monogram ink, courtesy of Scott Campbell—and the blogosphere ate it up.

3. Alexander Wang (last week: N/A)
The arrival of his lusted-after pre-fall collection—plus his cameo appearance at the Creators Project party in New York—had Alexander Wang in the news.

4. Alexander McQueen (last week: 1)
Sarah Burton’s first solo collection for Alexander McQueen—for Resort ‘11—kept the McQueen name top of mind, as did the first peek at Visionaire 58, the tribute issue to the late designer.

5. Cynthia Rowley (last week: N/A)
A shop-cum-music-venue in Montauk, a new Resort collection, even—yes, really—a line for Pampers? Cynthia Rowley epitomizes the multitasker.

  1. Mrs. Beckham, it has to be said, looks stunning here, the dress is beautiful, the make-up is stunning, and the haircut is simple yet chic. Whole look is executed very very well.

And good for her for landing such a huge gig, im sure her Range Rover will be as stylish and sought after as she is!
