Spotted At Couture: Babushka Chic?

Gaultier was showing twisting turbans and Galliano (with an assist from Stephen Jones) wrapped his girls’ heads like flower-shop bouquets, but we’re just as intrigued by some headgear spotted in the crowd—the babushka-style shawls favored by Uliana Sergeenko. The Russian couture client and photographer has been bringing a Muscovite breeze to the Paris shows with her wraps. It’s unexpected, but it works. Tommy Ton snapped her in two different versions as she made her way through the week.
