Fashion’s Night, Now With GPS

August 16, 2010  12:01 am

Today, Fashionsnightout.com goes live, where you can find listings for FNO events both city-wide and worldwide. This year, the site features a new functionality, too: An itinerary planner that lets you search for events by neighborhood or category and plots them on a printable map. That way, you’ll be sure not to miss the Mercer Street block party thrown by 3.1 Phillip Lim and Rag & Bone, the Helmut Lang bash deejayed by Harley Viera-Newton and Cassie Coane and snapped by the Cobrasnake, Margherita Missoni’s cocktail event at Missoni on Madison, or any of the other umpteen events. Sure to be equally grateful for the function: one of the many double- and- triple-booked designers making appearances through the evening, like the Olsens, who will be judging a karaoke contest with Simon Doonan at Barneys before heading to a West Village pop-up shop to promote Elizabeth and James, or the Proenza boys (pictured), who’ll also start at Barneys’ Madison flagship before heading to Kirna Zabête in Soho, where exclusive mini PS1 wallets will be on offer.
