Books Marc The Spot, The Rise Of Honeysuckle Rose, What’s To Come At T, And More…

September 7, 2010  11:06 am

It’s a little late for beach reading, but Marc Jacobs’ latest shop—Bookmarc—opens on Bleecker Street today. Is it time for that street to officially be renamed Marc Jacobs Way? Grumpy neighbors, who have been complaining of long lines outside the Marc by Marc shop down the block, don’t think so, but Robert Duffy and Jacobs are placating them with a quick-change: That shop will now house collection accessories. “There’s not going to be a line,” Duffy said. “I hope there is—but there won’t be a line of people to buy $3,000 handbags.” [WWD]

Erin O’Connor is the latest model to take up design. She’s partnered with her stylist to create a capsule collection, called She Died of Beauty, of T-shirts and printed bags. They’re emblazoned with statements like “She Died of Perfection.” So, uh, maybe happy days are not here again? [Vogue U.K.]
