The Minimalism Memo: Gwyneth Gets It, Kate Ignores

At Elle‘s Women in Hollywood bash at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills last night, Gwyneth Paltrow exuded a “less is more” kind of vibe, sporting a long-sleeved, non-plunging Calvin Klein Collection shift in an on-trend ultra-bright hue, (relatively) sensible sandals, and scant jewelry. Kate Hudson, on the other hand, went for a draped, origami-esque dress by Prabal Gurung, complete with a paillette-festooned shoulder and stilettos so high she ultimately ditched them. Our quibble with Kate’s look: If going for all-out glam, the hair should probably look less out-all-night. Which of these two very different dress code interpretations do you prefer?

i prefer Kate definitely, her hair was a great choice to lighten up the look; Gwyneth looks like a sausage unfortunately.
