Yea, Nay, Or Eh? Blake Goes Buggy

October 18, 2010  1:08 pm

It didn’t take long for Alber Elbaz’s Spring ‘11 Lanvin collection to make its real-world debut. Blake Lively donned the opening look from the new collection—one of the tone-setting long, slit-skirt numbers, complete with Elie Top’s fabulously bedazzled bug at the neck—for this weekend’s Spike TV Scream Awards. She dressed up the look with a loose ponytail and a wristful of bangles, but her main accessories were her admittedly great gams: The actress spent most of the night holding her skirt open, lest you miss them. We love the look, which Blake does proud, but could do with a little less of the big reveal. What say you—yea, nay, or eh?

  1. NAY! I can’t stand her overly contrived looks. Everything about her is forced and studied. There is no sense of ease to how she looks. It just pains me. Style should be effortless and everything about Blake is hyper effort-ful. The way she poses with her head always tilted the same angel and her arms always on her hips–one just knows that she spent hours in front of the mirror practicing. Even in this photo, the fact that she is constantly having to hold up the skirt to show off the slit. There is nothing youthful about her.
