Accessory Alert: The New Ruby Slippers

Brilliant, traffic-stopping red has made a big splash on the runways these past few seasons, lending flash to everything from suiting to coats. This season saw the trend extend to footwear, too. At Thakoon (left), Alexander Wang (center), and Marc Jacobs (left), vibrant, slightly pointed pumps and booties got an added jolt from a wild and sometimes shiny hit of the hue.
