Jason Wu’s accessories collection has been growing just like his ready-to-wear has been—that is to say, fast and furious. After launching a few key styles for Spring, Wu expanded for pre-fall, and for Fall, showed a gilded range inspired, as his entire season was, by Versailles and its painstaking restoration. “I wanted the accessories to reflect the opulent mood of the clothes,” Wu told Style.com. “By combining such ornate details [as gilded hardware] with the sleek design of the bag and shoes, I thought they perfectly represented the contrast between the raw and the polished elements as seen in Robert Polidori’s photos of Versailles during various stages of construction.” A clutch, a pump, and a belt come in gold calfskin with sunburst details, and a cross-body gold bag and gold-framed sunglasses complete the collection.
