Carine Roitfeld Comes To Barneys
It’s been a fashion-world parlor game to guess at Carine Roitfeld’s next move, as the former Paris Vogue editrix gets clocked around town in Paris and New York. This morning, the picture became a little clearer: Barneys New York has announced that Roitfeld will team with Mario Sorrenti and the store’s creative director, Dennis Freedman, on its next ad campaign. “Carine is a one-of-a-kind talent. She is both a muse and an inspiration,” Freedman said in a release. “She has extraordinary individual style and infectious passion, and I have always admired her work.” The campaign, which will bow for Fall 2011, will be featured in Barneys windows, in mailings, and online, and will include a short film shot by Sorrenti as well.
