Galliano’s Apology, Gaga’s Runway Debut, Anja’s Issue, And More…

John Galliano broke his silence today, issuing an “unreserved apology” for the anti-Semitic slurs that cost him his job. He’s now “seeking help,” and vowing to fight his firing from Dior. [WWD]

In case you missed the Tweet heard ’round the world, tonight’s Mugler show will have a very special runway model. You guessed it—creative director Nicola Formichetti’s best client, Lady Gaga, who also directed the show’s music. (She’ll debut a new track, “Government Hooker.”) [@LadyGaga]

Rachel Zoe, who got her client Anne Hathaway Oscar-host-ready, lets us in on the secrets, including that you’ve got to be able to dance as an Oscar host. She and Hathaway put her custom Brian Atwood shoes to the test in several run-throughs to be sure they were soft-shoe ready. [EW via Styleite]

Speaking of the Oscars, it was a pretty great night for The King’s Speech. So no wonder that the world is clamoring to get all of its regal regalia in order—a new auction will sell off some of the bags and lingerie (!) of Wallis Simpson, for whom Edward VIII abdicated, leaving the throne to his stuttering brother, George VI. And add another key bullet point to the already crammed r#233;sumé of Anja Rubik (left): Vogue Australia has dedicated its entire new issue to the Polish beauty. [Modelinia]
