John Galliano Said To Be Out At Dior

-------

Sources are reporting that, after allegations of anti-Semitism following an altercation at a Paris café and a video, released this week, of a second racist incident, John Galliano has been relieved of his duties at Dior and proceedings are under way for his firing. Brand president Sidney Toledano wrote in a statement, “I condemn most firmly the statements made by John Galliano which are a total contradiction with the essential values that have always been defended by the House of Christian Dior.”

Dior’s runway show is thought to proceed this Friday as planned.

i am so sad :(, he is such a great designer.
don’t get me wrong, i am jewish and israeli and i found his remarks atrocious. still, he is a genius….a very big loss

It goes to show you that not even Galliano is immune to completely inappropriate behavior. As for his design prowess, a lot of things I just didn’t understand…like the pyramid dress. Oy vay!

holy s**t! (checked out one of the videos, granted he was drunk but it was like he’s gone mad)

He’s cooked his “FOIE GRAS”! Someone needs to remind him that the NAZI party wasn’t to fond of GAYS either?

  5. Elisafa says:

I don’t like racists specially when they are well-known and most of them they can be idols for young people! It is very hopefully that the Dior’s brand president does not encourage this kind of behaviour. Anyway he is free to continue his own career and make his choices.

If they are so about “respect” they should pull that collection as it’s John Galliano’s and Not Dior. I wonder who’ll replace him? Regardless of his drunken opinions, the man is fashion royalty
