Miss Piggy’s Having A Moment, Steven Meisel’s Faux Ads For W, Christy Turlington Laces Up For The NYC Marathon, And More…

-------

Fashion is Miss Piggy-ing out these days. The savvy swine, who plays a Paris Vogue editor in the upcoming Muppets film, was the highlight of Opening Ceremony’s FNO festivities, and now she’s the subject of an eight-page editorial in InStyle‘s November issue. Up next: a MAC Cosmetics line she collaborated on, and she’s set to be a guest judge on Project Runway All-Stars. [WWD]

Can you pick out the real ads versus the fake ones lensed by Steven Meisel in W‘s new art issue? Hint: There’s one promoting the fake scent La Femme. Otherwise, the ads, starring a series of boldface names like Joan Rivers, Karen Elson, and Linda Evangelista, are pretty believable as the real thing. [Hint]

Christy Turlington Burns will join the ranks of fellow model-marathoners likes Agyness Deyn and Natalia Vodianova when she runs the New York City Marathon on November 6. Turlington Burns, along with nine of her friends, is running to raise awareness for the Every Mother Counts charity. [WWD]

3,400 gems, including 71 carats worth of diamonds, make up the Fantasy Treasure Bra (which took more than 500 hours to create) that Miranda Kerr is set to wear in next month’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Now that’s what we would call a treasure chest. [Page Six]
