In The Land Of Angelina Jolie
As Hollywood gears up for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, fashion insiders are busy making predictions about what nominees like Tilda Swinton, Michelle Williams, and Charlize Theron will be wearing. And then there’s Angelina Jolie. The actress-turned-director (In the Land of Blood and Honey is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film) has been a spotlight-stealing force on the awards show circuit since long before anyone ever heard the name Rooney Mara. In recent years, Jolie has kept her look simple and elegant; see 2011′s green Atelier Versace number or the champagne Atelier Versace gown she wore in 2009 (paired with her best accessory, Brad Pitt, on one arm). But before she became a Supermom, she was known for her bolder fashion choices, most notably the Morticia Adams dress she wore to pick up her Oscar for Girl, Interrupted in 2000. Above, we recall a few of the star’s most memorable red-carpet moments.
