A Blue Steal

-------

We have been fans of KBL’s affordably priced, well-built eyewear since its founders, Adam and Kara Mendelsohn and Dave Barton, launched the label in 2009. KBL kicked off with wire frames and has since expanded the offerings to include plastics, optical, and hand-finished matte patina (around $175 for sunglasses and $200 for optical). Most recently, KBL created a pair of shades exclusively for Barneys (one of the label’s early stockists), hitting stores April 1. The blue denim acetate frames have been hand-sanded to a cool matte finish, and as for the shape, it’s a twist on the brand’s classic P3 lens shape. Style.com has the exclusive first look at the shades, above.
