House Of Lavande Unveils Its Wares
House of Lavande, yes, that vintage store based in Palm Beach, is launching its own jewelry line. After years of collecting vintage jewelry for the store, Tracy Smith, the woman behind the brand, decided it was time to work on her own collection. “As much as I love collecting and curating other vintage jewelry, I wanted to create something of my own that someday could become that collected piece,” she told Style.com at this morning’s New York presentation of the line. “I love the process, from inspiration to creation—it’s pretty magical.” All pieces are made in Italy with Swarovski crystals, wood, natural stones, Lucite, and resin, ranging in price from $400 for small earrings to $6,500 for the most special necklace (pictured), made with reconstructed wood and coral. The collection will be available for preorder tomorrow on ModaOperandi.com and late in the year at House of Lavande Palm Beach and other specialty boutiques.
