On Our Radar: Karen Walker Eyewear

Karen Walker told us that she wanted to celebrate “eternal optimism, fun, and adventure” with her Spring 2013 eyewear range. And the designer’s smile-inducing retro-futuristic shades do just that. Walker played with graphic shapes (like Giant Bug frames, circular Orbit specs, and new-wave cat-eyes), wacky colors (aqua, acid yellow, sherbet, and clear pink etched with skulls), and playful embellishments (the Atomic style has metal laser-cut eyebrows) to create irreverent wares for the femme who’s not afraid of a good giggle. Bright, fresh, and a little funny, Walker’s new glasses are a sweet Spring pick-me-up.
