Editor Obsessions: Donald Robertson’s #Lipstick Painting

Every day,’s editors reveal their current obsessions—and where to buy them. Check out today’s pick, below.

I’ve been an admirer of the work of Donald Robertson, better known as @donalddrawbertson to his 66K and counting Instagram followers, since he started posting to the social media platform. I’ve been saving up to buy a piece to permanently hang on my non-virtual wall, and this ode to lipstick sums up my love affair with all things beauty. In an apartment where everything is pretty much gender neutral, this will be the one feminine element that my boyfriend might actually be on board with. Until I get my hands on the real deal, the animated version Robertson posted to his account this past weekend will have to suffice.

Editor Obsessions: Pierre Hardy’s Eye Motif Sandals

Every day,’s editors reveal their current obsessions—and where to buy them. Check out today’s pick, below.

Pierre hardy

As a beauty editor, it’s fair to say that I know my way around a mascara wand. And it appears that Pierre Hardy recognizes the importance of a full set of fringe as well. These heels aren’t just eye-catching (sorry, couldn’t help myself), but they add interest to a classic LBD in seconds. I might be a brown-eyed girl, but I’d strut around in these lime-green peeper-motif calf-hair sandals any day of the week.

Editor Obsessions: Chanel’s Star-Embellished Lace-Ups

Harley Viera-Newton and I are both crazy cat ladies—we confirmed it recently during an interview at her apartment, where I spent 90 percent of the time rolling around on the floor with her Bengal kitten. Another thing I hope we’ll one day have in common: these Chanel brogues from the latest Métiers d’Art collection. Viera-Newton posted them to Instagram this week, and I’m pinning them to my must-have board immediately. Tromping around backstage will be a cinch in these heeled oxfords, and the shimmery sheriff’s stars surrounding the laces scream, “I mean business!”
