In the ensuing weeks, elaborate embroideries flourished on the Fall runways. At Balmain, Olivier Rousteing gave a pearl-embellished cross-stitched cameo the house’s signature glam rock treatment; Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana showcased detailed tapestry motifs at Dolce & Gabbana; and Valentino‘s Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli upped the thread count with detailed, heirloom floral evening looks.
