Hunting For Heidi

“Where is Heidi?” That was the big question everyone was asking last night at the Dream Downtown’s rooftop nightclub Ph-D, where Heidi Klum was hosting her second Halloween bash of the season. While guests including Jessica White, Russell Simmons, Darren Aronofsky, and Doutzen Kroes stood around and admired the slew of impressive costumes, they were all looking for one in particular: the hairy gorilla costume Klum leaked to the press last week.

“Heidi isn’t here yet!” Natasha Bedingfield told as she danced at a table with Fergie. Klum, according to a PR representative, was having “wardrobe malfunctions” and did not make it to the party until well after midnight. Bedingfield, on the other hand, decided to keep her getup simple: “I just threw this together and came to the party!” Maybe it was the wardrobe, or maybe it was just Halloween exhaustion—this year, the holiday’s been going on for four straight days in New York.

Christian Louboutin’s Sole Gets An Exhibition, Marc Jacobs’ Bizarre Resort Video, Heidi Klum’s Hosting Two Halloween Parties This Year, And More…

In March, you will be able to step into Christian Louboutin’s shoes in a whole new way. The Design Museum in the U.K. has paid tribute to the designer’s 20-year career with a retrospective exhibit “exploring how he has managed to transform shoe design and offering insight into his creative process.” [Vogue U.K.]

What better way to advertise Marc Jacobs’ Resort 2012 collection than with a video featuring a husky guy, vacuuming on a bed, wearing the flowery embroidery dress from the collection? Exactly. [YouTube]

Heidi Klum is known for her epic Halloween parties and this year she’s hosting two of them. Klum will start the night at Tao in Vegas and then finish the festivities at the Dream Downtown. More importantly, what will she be dressed as? [Page Six]

Christian Dior has collaborated with German artist Anselm Reyle on a new line of accessories. The colorful handbags don’t arrive in stores until January 9, but they will be on display at a Dior pop-up shop during Art Basel in Miami. [WWD]

Nur’s Crystal Castle

Nur Khan wants to make life easy for you. Here’s how: The New York nightlife vet puts together a live show at his old venue, Hiro, then does the after-party next door at his new place, the Electric Room at Dream Downtown. The pattern ensued last night, starting with a DeLeon-sponsored performance by the Toronto electro act Crystal Castles, which drew the likes of Amy Sacco, Jessica White, and Shaun White.

“Just march right through here,” Khan explained, trudging through an underground corridor, “and it’s a straight shot without going outside and around the corner.” It’s an especially perfect setup for celebrities to escape from the wave of paparazzi that might be lingering outside. As Khan pushed into the same set of double doors he’d whisked Courtney Love through last week, he discovered the doors were locked. Khan took a swig of his beer and said, “I haven’t slept in two days.”

Khan’s lack of sleep is because he’s been playing host to some of fashion week’s biggest bashes, and things aren’t likely to slow down anytime soon, considering the buzz around the venue. After the deafening, dance-inspiring show there last night, Khan, true to form, brought Castles’ Alice Glass and Ethan Kath next door for the after-party. We’re guessing he’d gotten the doors unlocked by then.

The Dream Team: Some Knicks, A Knowles, And Good Old Leo, Too

You could pinch yourself at last night’s opening of the Dream Downtown hotel, but they’d still be there: Leonard DiCaprio, Kellan Lutz, Stavros Niarchos, Carmelo Anthony, and Amar’e Stoudemire. Because at the Dream (as in dreams), logic barely applies, they were joined by mermaids, gogo dancers, and nearly naked fire-throwers. There was a beach club and a glass bottom pool visible from the ceiling of the lobby lounge, too. And, maybe most importantly of all, there was enough Patrón flowing to make more than a few partygoers wake up wondering whether the visions of Gossip Girl‘s Tika Sumpter dancing on the table top were real or imaginary. (Now you know: They were real.)

Most of the action, however, was upstairs at PH-D, the rooftop lounge where DiCaprio attempted to blend in with the crowd. (Camouflage wasn’t even an option for the impossibly tall Knicks gang, so instead, they held court from the center of the room, packed with the likes of Solange Knowles and Eve.) But a steady stream of girls gave Leo’s whereabouts away (as did a barricade of bouncers). As he surveyed the Samantha Ronson-DJ’ed dance floor, the star chatted with his friend, Vikram Chatwal. “We met between Los Angeles and New York,” Chatwal told, looking to DiCaprio for confirmation, before both got distracted by a hot tub party, taking place on another floor of the hotel but visible through the window. “Maybe you could ask me your crazy questions later in the hot tub?” A hot tub party did not ensue, but a few fully clothed party guests did test the waters in the pool on the lower level. Others, like DiCaprio, headed out before the dream was broken.
