Editor Obsessions: Céline’s Navy Belt Bag

-------

Every day, Style.com’s editors reveal their current obsessions—and where to buy them. Check out today’s pick, below.

Celine

I’ve never been a huge fan of yellow—and not just because it clashes with my olive skin tone—but after I saw Daria Werbowy toting the new canary Belt bag in Céline’s Fall ’14 ads, I’ve started to change my tune. The not-quite-neon color looks unexpected and chic with her big leopard coat. Even so, I could never justify paying such a high price for such a bold hue, but I was thrilled to find the same style in navy. It has everything you crave in a Céline bag—sleek silhouette, quality materials, uncompromised luxury—and I love deep blue as an alternative to black. Plus, unlike the Trapeze and Luggage bags, this one actually feels somewhat anonymous. I’d like to get my hands on one before the entire blogosphere snaps it up. I just need to save up my pennies first.

Céline Belt bag in navy blue natural calfskin, $2,950. Available at Bergdorf Goodman; call (212) 872-8757. Or visit celine.com for more information.

Editor Obsessions: MyTheresa’s Exclusive Calvin Klein Jeans Dungarees

-------

Calvin Klein Lottie Moss

Even though I was just a kid in the nineties, I feel like I’m actually experiencing the decade’s trends thanks to the latest surge of nineties nostalgia. With that in mind, I was very excited to see the new MyTheresa capsule collection of reissued Calvin Klein classics, which launched Wednesday. (Kate Moss’ little sister, Lottie, is the new face.) The CK logo sweatshirts are probably selling out as we speak, but I’m gravitating more toward these light-wash overalls. I’d wear them rolled-up with slides and a striped tee during the day, then elevate them with strappy sandals and a red lip for evening. The added bonus? They totally fall into the “art-teacher chic” trend we’re into right now. Rest assured I’ll be wearing these to Sunday brunch, not pottery class.

Editor Obsessions: Lisa Marie Fernandez’s Poppy Bandeau Bikini

-------

Every day, Style.com’s editors reveal their current obsessions—and where to buy them. Check out today’s pick, below.

Lisa Marie Fernandez

Once July hits in New York, I’ll take any chance I can get to escape to the beach, whether it’s Coney Island or someplace a bit more exotic. Next week, I’m heading to south Florida for the holiday weekend, and the temperature is expected to be a consistent 90 degrees. Needless to say, my packing list consists mainly of swimsuits and SPF. I’ve been a fan of high-waisted bikinis for a while now, but have yet to add one to my beach bag—most of them skew a little too retro for me. Lisa Marie Fernandez’s simple, zippered black two-piece, on the other hand, hits all of my bikini must-haves: strapless bandeau top; thick fabric; and a solid, flattering color. It’s ultrafeminine but a little sporty, too, so you aren’t instantly reminded of a fifties pinup girl.
