The Lagerfeld Pantheon, Stella Welcomes Reiley, Tom Ford’s Show Revealed, And More…

-------

A few sneak peeks have been floating around the Web of late, but Karl Lagerfeld’s full Pirelli calendar was finally unveiled in Moscow last night. The calendar takes the theme of the Greek gods and goddesses, and stars Daria Werbowy (nude—again—as Artemis), KL favorite Baptiste Giabiconi as Apollo, Erin Wasson as Ajax (above right), Garrett Neff as Dionysus, Elisa Sednaoui as Flora, Iris Strubegger as Athena, and Julianne Moore as Hera (above left). The first photos from Tom Ford’s ultra-hush-hush womenswear presentation during Spring 2011 New York fashion week are out. Terry Richardson—lately seen smooching the designer, Brokeback Mountain-style, on Richardson’s blog—was the only sanctioned photog at the show, and a few of his shots (including one of a glammed-out Beyoncé) have hit Harper’s Bazaar U.K. [Fashionologie]

Gilt Groupe is set to launch a new full-priced site for menswear—the first, the company hints, of a series of full-priced sites. E-tail domination, are you in Gilt’s sights? [WWD]

And Fashion’s Night Out 2011 has a date: September 8, to be exact. Mark your calendars, and plan accordingly. [Fashionista]

Boy Meets Girl

-------

The news at Band of Outsiders of late has been the birth of Girl—that is, Scott Sternberg’s new, lower-priced line of womenswear, the counterpart to his designer women’s collection, Boy. (Still following? The men’s is simply called Band of Outsiders, for the record.) “It has more of an antiqued, heirloom quality to it than Boy does,” Sternberg explained at a Dewar’s-fueled dinner last night at his new studio in Hollywood. “There was just this whole other part of womenswear that Boy wasn’t hitting and I wanted Boy just to be what it is, which is a really focused concept line. People didn’t think Girl was going to be pretty, but it works well, because there’s nothing in Boy that’s in Girl and vice versa.”

Sternberg is the outfitter of choice for young Hollywood these days, and there were plenty of boys and girls on hand to toast the new space and the new line. Band of Outsiders has made special inroads among the young, cool, indie guy—the funny sideman lurking in your favorite TV show or movie—and they all turned out to cheer. Parks and Recreation‘s Aziz Ansari (who performs his standup act in a Band of Outsiders tux), Community‘s Donald Glover (a past BOO campaign star), Andrew Garfield (your next Spider-Man, ladies and gentlemen), Glee‘s Kevin McHale, and Dave Franco (James’ little bro) were all on hand. On the girl side were Marisa Tomei, Erin Wasson, Samantha Traina, and Sternberg’s longtime collaborator, stylist Tina Chai. Tomei did her time in front of the lens in Boy for the label’s Fall ’09 campaign, but according to Sternberg, he’s looking for something a little different for next time around. “I’m trying to find a bob, a really good bob,” he said. “We’ll see if I succeed.”

Spotted At Wang: Spontaneous Outbreak Of Friendliness

-------

Definitely front row of the week so far was at Alexander Wang. In the prime section: M.I.A. (no truffle fries in sight, for the record), Ryan McGinley, Lenny Kravitz, Erin Wasson (flashing some boob, which as someone pointed out, puts her right on trend with what we’ve been seeing on the runways this week). A little farther along, Bryan Boy stopped to pose for pics with Terence Koh. And then a sign of front-row solidarity: As Purple‘s Olivier Zahm arrived late and was searching quickly for his seat, W‘s Stefano Tonchi improvised some space on the bench next to him. Who said this would be the week of seating wars?

Lady Gaga’s Doing It For Herself, Your Chance To Snag A Few Early Alexander McQueens, And More…

-------

Three years after her death, Isabella Blow’s unparalleled fashion collection—which included her friend Alexander McQueen’s entire graduate collection from Central Saint Martins—will go on the auction block. Here’s hoping some smart museum or private donor keeps at least the McQueens together. [WWD]

Todd Selby shot Waris Ahluwalia, Ruben Toledo, and André Balazs in their envy-inducing offices and homes for Louis Vuitton—in other words, exactly what you’d expect. If it ain’t broke, we guess… [Refinery29]

Speaking of Waris, he joined Lily Donaldson, Erin Wasson, and more in supporting NYC public school education. Each designed a T-shirt to be auctioned off on eBay to celebrate Playworkgroup’s first anniversary; the proceeds will go to Pencil, a local nonprofit. Lily’s shirt includes a pair of eyes and the legend “I See You”; Erin’s the scrawled quote, “Some things should last a really long time.” (So maybe hand-wash this particular tee?) [Modelinia]

Anne Hathaway has given up the gifts given to her by her conman ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, which include several Rolexes, jewelry, and a Louis Vuitton box. They’ll be auctioned off to repay the victims of Follieri’s schemes. [Page Six]

And Lady Gaga has applied for an internship with eccentric English milliner Philip Treacy. We never thought we’d say this, but makes total economic sense. If you’re going to run around with lobsters, telephones, and orbiting rings on your head all day, it’s only practical to bring production in-house. [Vogue U.K.]

A Taste Of Home For Les Newyorkais

-------

Revelers who made it through the queue in the freezing cold, down four flights of stairs, and into the classic Parisian night spot Le Regine last night had some serious celebrating to do. “We’ve been working hard,” said Opening Ceremony’s Humberto Leon, one of the party’s co-hosts, of his crew’s rigorous fashion week. “Tonight we’re dancing.”

Even fashion’s workaholics took a break. Street shooter Tommy Ton put down his camera, he said, “for the first time this season,” joining a crowd that included designers Alexander Wang, Henry Holland (pictured), Matthew Williamson, Daria Werbowy, and Jen Brill. Erin Wasson, in a crinkly leather hat, joined Opening Ceremony’s Carol Lim and company at the see-and-be-seen table behind a few tubs of vodka on ice, while Lindsay Lohan holed up in a more Frank-and-Dino corner, playing coy—well, as coy as one can play in a snowball-white fur hat during an impromptu amateur photo session. The New York, New York party has traveled around the international fashion weeks—it’s already made a London appearance—and it’s already developed a few standbys. It just wouldn’t feel like home without dancing on the banquettes, a haze of smoke (not always officially approved), and, of course, “Empire State of Mind.”
