Georgia May Jagger Lets Herself Go

-------

Georgia May Jagger at the Hudson Jeans partyWith starring roles in campaigns for Miu Miu, Just Cavalli, Rimmel, and Madonna’s Material Girl Collection, Georgia May Jagger may be busy, but she hasn’t forgotten her roots—and those are with the jeans-maker Hudson. It was one of the first brands to feature the gap-toothed model—Jagger was a mere 16 years old when the California-based denim monolith tapped her for its 2009 ads—and that collaboration is still going strong.

Hudson, which, it was announced this week, is set to be acquired by Joe’s Jeans, threw a party last night at the new Selfridges Denim Floor for its Fall ’13 campaign, “#LETYOURSELFGO.” Lensed in black and white, the ads feature, you guessed it, Jagger. Donning a white jacket with little underneath, the model braved the London heat wave and chatted amiably with partygoers, which included Mary Charteris on the decks, playing to a crowd of mostly Jagger’s buddies, including Rosie Fortescue, Miquita Oliver, and Twilight actress MyAnna Buring.

Hudson simultaneously held an Instagram contest, asking fans to upload images of themselves “#LettingGo,” for which Jagger, a budding photographer herself, happily posed. But despite the power of the instant photo, Jagger told Style.com, “I think there is always going to be an appreciation of professional photography. Sure, you can take some great pictures on the iPhone, but I always travel with my Nikon camera, too. Certainly, photography is something I would like to do a lot more of in the future.”

She also took time to weigh in on her dad, who with all his performances of late, seems as busy as her. “I think [all his gigs] are great, and I managed to go on tour in the U.S. for a while earlier this summer, which was so fun. But I’m such a huge fan of Glastonbury, so to see them play there for the first time ever was amazing!”

Pirelli’s New Calendar Girls, Dasha Zhukova’s Provocative Mag, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Son Tries His Hand At Modeling, And More…

-------

Kate Moss, Lara Stone, and Milla Jovovich will appear in the next Mario Sorrenti-lensed Pirelli calendar, due out in December. The three, along with nine others, joined Sorrenti in Corsica for a week-long shoot just a few weeks before Moss’ wedding. [Vogue U.K.]

Dasha Zhukova’s new magazine, Garage, will make its official debut during fashion week, but The New York Times got a glimpse of it, dubbing it “one of the most intriguing magazines to come along in years.” Zhukova created three different covers, one of which is a Hedi Slimane photo of a nude model’s crotch, covered by a Damien Hirst-designed green butterfly sticker with a tattoo underneath. Patrick Schwarzenegger, son of former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, is striking a pose for Hudson Jeans. He appears shirtless in the denim brand’s ad campaigns and in three short films with Georgia May Jagger for Hudson, set to come out September 7. [WWD]

Twiggy is releasing a new album called Romantically Yours. She might be better known for her modeling talents, but this isn’t her first venture in the music business—her debut album came out in 1976. [Vogue U.K.]

Georgia May Jagger Stretches Out

-------

It was near pandemonium last night at Paris’ tony emporium Montaigne Market as a crowd gathered to await the arrival of Georgia May Jagger. The rock scion signed on as the égérie of Hudson jeans, and eventually got so comfortable with the brand that she made a new request: that she be given the design reins for her own capsule collection. Ben Taverniti, Hudson’s young French designer, agreed. Voilà, Hudson by Georgia May Jagger, with ten styles, most of them skintight and one lacing sexily up the sides. At Montaigne Market, they were in good company: The pairs were shown styled with jackets from Balmain, Stella McCartney, and Alaïa. “They approached me and the first thing I thought was that I’d really like a pair of jeans that fits perfectly,” Jagger explained. “So Ben and I worked with different stretch qualities and high rises and I think we’ve got it just right.” It’s her first foray into the world of design, and to hear the 19-year-old model and sometime face of Chanel tell it, it won’t be the last. But it’s far from the only thing on her plate. Jagger mentioned she’s gone on a few auditions lately, that is, when she’s not in class—she’s currently living in New York and attending the School of Visual Arts.

Under A Minute With Georgia May Jagger

-------

That’s time you can spare for a gap-toothed rock ‘n’ roll heiress, right? Hudson Jeans spokeswoman Georgia May Jagger filmed a brief new promo video for the label, where she takes time out of her day to writhe around on a couch and get interviewed by Jefferson Hack. Here, Jagger fille talks Hudson’s goods, her ideal day, and reveals her style icon. Hint: The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

She May Be A Jagger, But She’s Feeling G’N'R

-------

Take it from newly minted denim guru Georgia May Jagger: It’s all about a great cut. The face of Hudson Jeans has, as you can imagine, been in more than a few pairs of late, and the secret, she says, is “they have to fit like a glove, and to be the best cut for your body because different people look good in different styles.” A bunch of those “different people” came out last night to be tailor-measured for that ideal fit, courtesy of Hudson and one of its key stockists, London denim mecca Trilogy Jeans. Daisy Lowe, Amber LeBon, Liberty Ross, Bond girl Gemma Arterton, Ben Grimes, and Jasmine Guinness all lined up to get theirs, and left happy. Jagger wasn’t on premises, sadly—a school exam stood in the way, reminding us that even the most fabulous aren’t exempt from homework—but she did speak to Style.com to vouch a few opinions. “They go with anything,” she said of the Hudson range. “And the fabric is really great quality, so they will last forever and fade beautifully.” Her pick of the litter? “I really like black skinny jeans, and the lace-up in the back [pictured on Georgia, above] is very rock ‘n’ roll; reminds me of Guns N’ Roses—they always rocked lace-up trousers.” No word on what Dad thinks of her taste in bands.
