-------

Mary Katrantzou (pictured) is the latest winner of the Swiss Textile Award, beating out fellow finalists Adam Kimmel, Juun J, and Duro Olowu for the €100,000 prize. Last year’s winner, Alexander Wang, was on hand in Zurich last night to present Katrantzou with the award, which will go toward developing her line internationally. [WWD]

The Victoria’s Secret runway show hits New York City next week, and more and more details are emerging about the 30-odd models who’ll tromp down the runway. Constance Jablonski, Lais Ribeiro, Lily Donaldson, and Anne Vyalitsyna—a first-time Angel this year—will all be part of “A Night of a Thousand Fantasies,” this year’s show. [Fashionologie]

Kell on Earth may be no more, but People’s Revolution PR queen Kelly Cutrone won’t stay off the air for long. She’s just announced via Twitter that she’s signed on as a correspondent for Dr. Phil, where she’ll no doubt provide a saltier brand of tough love than the good doctor’s usual platitudes. Attendees at the Fashion Delivers gala in New York this week were treated to a surprise appearance by a very big-name guest: Madonna. The Material Woman (née Girl) stopped by to praise the evening’s honoree, Iconix Brand Group CEO (and Kenneth Cole’s brother) Neil Cole, for his charity work, including with her Raising Malawi organization. Madonna For Miu Miu, Gossip With Kelly, Garance La Newyorkaise, And More…

-------

Coming soon: XOXO, Kelly? People’s Revolution founder Kelly Cutrone—whose reality show, Kell on Earth, aired on Bravo—has inked a deal with Gossip Girl‘s production company, Fake Empire, for an MTV show about fashion. [Racked]

Apparently, Madonna directed Miu Miu’s Fall ’10 campaign video (below), because she showed up on the shoot to take photogs Mert and Marcus to dinner and decided to direct a video instead. Siri Tollerød (left), who stars, says: “We were supposed to shoot a video, so Madonna said she wanted to direct it. They said she could do it but they weren’t going to pay her and she started laughing. She put on her iPod and taught us moves and we shot the video for two hours.” Moral of the story: Whatever Madonna wants, Madonna gets. [Elle U.K. via Paper]

Just in case you missed it (as, admittedly, we did): Garance Doré has moved to New York. See you at NYFW, Garance (we’ll be the ones impeccably attired). [Garance Doré]

And according to a new study, Wednesday at 4 p.m. is when online shopping peaks—traffic to e-commerce sites can be up to 75 percent higher than during other points in the week. Four hours until shopping time! [Telegraph via Stylelist] Continue Reading “Madonna For Miu Miu, Gossip With Kelly, Garance La Newyorkaise, And More…” »

One Thing We Learned From Today’s Press Call With Kelly Cutrone

-------

The Kell-raiser herself fielded calls from the press on a conference call this afternoon, and thanks to the always entertaining Awl [http://www.theawl.com/2010/01/some-highlights-from-todays-kelly-cutrone-press-call], we’ve got a transcript. It’s worth a quick read for an end-of-day laugh, but if you’re strapped for time and need the takeaway message, here it is: Whether or not you know it or recognize it, Kelly Cutrone is wearing Margiela. Don’t, as they say, get it twisted.
