A Relative Unknown Walks The Red Carpet To Fashion Fame, Bye-Bye Bridge Lines, At Home With Ikram, And More…

-------

Chances are, you don’t know the name Romona Keveza. That’s about to change. The Canadian-Lithuanian designer has never showed during New York fashion week, but she’s caught the eye of a growing number of red-carpet starlets, like Christina Hendricks, Lea Michele, and Julia Stiles. Next stop: the runway? [NYT]

Dolce & Gabbana (left) made waves recently when word got around that they were considering folding their lower-priced label, D&G, into their main collection. But according to WSJ‘s Christina Binkley, it’s much ado about nothing. With consumers nimbly mixing high and low without a second thought, are diffusion collections and bridge lines soon to be a thing of the past? [WSJ]

Yea, Nay, Or Eh? Auditioning For Hair?

-------

Lea Michele certainly has a flair for the dramatic—the star of Glee grew up performing on Broadway, after all—but we would have preferred to see a more toned-down look on the actress at Fox’s upfront after-party yesterday. On the runway, this Erdem frock was paired with little more than a smoky eye, lending some much-needed edge to a sophisticated print. Michele’s voluminous updo and dark pout are just too much here. What do you think? Do you like seeing the real-life Rachel Berry experiment on the red carpet, or should this solo be cut?
