Stella McCartney isn’t one to do things in a small way. Today, the designer not only unveiled her made-over e-commerce site, but she also gave visitors a glimpse of her new Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott-photographed Fall ’11 ad campaign starring Natalia Vodianova (above), and rolled out a second edition of her iPad app, WWD reports. Online-only content is now a button click away—including backstage imagery from her runway shows or details on the gowns she designed for this year’s Met gala—as well as shopping that has one foot in the digital realm, one in the real world. Not ready to take the plunge on an e-tail buy? Use the site to schedule an in-store private shopping appointment, or reserve items to try on and pick up at the nearest McCartney boutique.

Louis Vuitton is known for its elaborate stores and window displays around the globe and now, in a new book titled Louis Vuitton: Architecture & Interiors, the luxury brand reveals the details of its foundations. On October 1, it will roll out the 304-page tome ($130) filled with unseen architects’ sketches and interviews with interior design legends like Peter Marino. [WWD]

Naomi Campbell’s well-practiced snarl has found a perfect new outlet: The Fall ’11 Givenchy campaign, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Campbell is one of the major faces to front spots for Givenchy’s feline women’s collection, alongside Natalia Vodianova, Kristen McMenamy, and house favorite Mariacarla Boscono. (Though unlike in seasons past, each is shot separately, rather than in a roving pack.) Meanwhile, Rob Evans and Jonathan Marquez do the honors for the Rottweiler-inspired men’s collection. Posh, Becks Play With Ropes, Ladders For Armani
Since Victoria Beckham is one of my favorite (and valid) celebrity designers, I won’t be making any snide ladder climbing metaphors about her new Emporio Armani underwear campaign that just came out this morning. The images are quite the opposite of last season’s, which featured the global brand ambassadors languidly smoldering in some sort of boudoir. The latest pics, also shot by photog pair extraordinaire Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, are somewhat more athletic in nature: Mrs. Becks climbing a ladder sporting a gravity-defying ponytail, heels and not much more, and the pair posing with an enormous rope that I’m associating with the one that you were required to clamber up in grade school gym class. The couple (who together make a cool 32 million GBP for their work) certainly do justice to the unmentionables, and their perfect physiques make you want to hit the gym or perhaps move to an alternate airbrushed universe.
