Who’s Your Daddy D.?
We caught up with Drew Barrymore at the Tribeca Film Institute premiere of Everybody’s Fine last Thursday. The actress played Robert De Niro’s daughter in the feel-good holiday flick and she said she had a cheeky solution for making “the Godfather” more approachable. “I call him Daddy D. I was, like, ‘I can’t call you Robert De Niro. It’s too intimidating.’ ” Barrymore, whose own accomplishments aren’t exactly shabby, has just finished up a whirlwind cross-country tour for her new film, Whip It. “I’ll take a break for the holidays,” the actress said of her schedule. “If I don’t, I’ll end up in a straitjacket, which isn’t very fashionable. Well, unless it’s bedazzled.”
