The L.E.S. Gets A New Eco Outpost

For anyone looking to stock up on Mother Nature-approved wares for Earth Day, we suggest a stop at Nimli’s pop-up store at 2 Great Jones Street in Manhattan. The first retail outpost for the five-year-old “green lifestyle” Web site opened this weekend and runs through May 17. Our picks? Ashley Watson’s rugged totes refashioned from old leather jackets, Anna Korte’s delicate vintage jewelry, Y-3-esque organic plaid jackets by The Battalion, and seed-embedded stationery by Botanical Paperworks that actually blooms when planted.

Y-3′s Concept Crowd

The last time we saw Jeremy Scott he was channeling Tony the Tiger—or rather, wearing one of Tony’s more ferocious-looking cousins—in a tracksuit, so we weren’t that surprised to catch him in spots at last night’s Y-3 retail space at the Adidas Brand Center. Scott, whose not-yet-for-sale gold-winged kicks for Adidas are already cult faves, was happy to be nearing the end of a chockablock week. “I’m relieved it’s over,” he said, echoing the sentiments of more than one weary editor. While Scott’s plans to take his nephew to Euro Disney still stand, the three-year-old was nowhere to be seen. Instead, models fresh from the McQueen runway noshed on pain perdu and swigged Champagne in the jam-packed space. Considering that the Champs-Élysées outpost clocks in at 3,600 square meters—it’s Adidas’ largest European concept store—we’re talking big turnout.
