Years after my first art history exam, in which I had to describe the floor plan of this basilica with the precise terms, I finally visited the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims. Despite its impressive size, it appears incredibly light and delicate. I spent a long time just studying the facade and its countless figures, and then the beautiful glass windows inside that burst with color and light up the massive interior. It’s a visit I won’t forget.
