Saturday is my hippest day in Ibiza, and it isn’t because the Ants’ underground music will light up Ushuaïa, or because Bob Sinclar will rock the Pacha. Starting in the morning and ending in the early evening, Saturday is Hippie Market day at Las Dalias.

Before heading there, I have my breakfast ritual at Passion Café where I grab myself a green alkaline juice followed by a bowl of superfood chia porridge. I then aim to be in Las Dalias as early as possible to spend enough time browsing before the sun makes it unbearable.

The market is very famous in Ibiza. It is where Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin began to be noticed in the 1960s. Today, it is my hippie shopping heaven where I find some gorgeous ethnic buys and listen to live music while browsing the stalls.

On my last visit, my heart stopped when I found an amazing handmade Peruvian alpaca poncho. It will keep me psychedelically warm this winter.

Ibiza is not only about wild parties, house music, and electronic hedonism—it is also a very charming slice of paradise with its rustic markets and scenic beaches.

It also has an amazing detox retreat that will be added to my must-try list in 2014.

I particularly enjoyed Beso Beach and Juan y Andrea for lunch in Formentera, Es Torrent for a chilled Ibiza lunch, and La Paloma for some hand-picked organic veggies from the gardens of the restaurant.

In hippie terms, I really dig this place, dude!
