Girls love shoes, but I’m no Carrie Bradshaw. I’d rather roam Canal and Broadway than Fifth Avenue shoe departments….

Ms. Bradshaw’s passion for Manolos, Louboutins, and Jimmy Choos is by no means stronger than my passion for Nikes, Asics, and, now, Passport ADVs.

And I no longer have to wait for my New York trips to satisfy my sneaker addiction, because I can literally go next door, which could develop into a serious, serious problem.

You see, my neighbor, Mikhayel Tesfaye, a.k.a. Mik Jagga (of Mecca, Marc Ecko, and Prohibit NYC fame) has moved back to Ethiopia to start a new venture called Passport ADV.

Although its products are all made sustainably, in Ethiopia, this is no Toms Shoes.

Think Nile croc.

For all you fellow sneakerheads out there, #thisshitisfly.
