The weather is perfect this time of year in Toronto, and last week marked the launch of the Toronto International Film Festival. I’m going to mention a few of the movies I’m excited to see:

The Husband: My friend Max McCabe-Lokos wrote and starred in this Bruce McDonald-directed film. Just watch the trailer.

Palo Alto: I’m curious to see Gia Coppola’s  feature debut with this coming-of-age story (she’s a past Bad Day contributor). The film is an adaptation of James Franco’s story collection of the same name.

12 Years a Slave: Steve McQueen’s new film starring one of my favorite actors, Michael Fassbender. Trying to avoid reading about this one before seeing it.

Between parties and movie premieres, the city is certainly buzzing. C’est fun!
