There has been a lot of international hype the past couple of years about the Scandinavian region and its delicious food, thrilling television shows, minimalistic architecture, and well-designed fashion. As a local, I can let you in on a little secret: It’s all true!

The publishing house Thames & Hudson seems to agree with the hype as well, as earlier this year it released a book titled Fashion Scandinavia, by Danish fashion writer and stylist Dorothea Gundtoft. The book introduces the reader to Scandinavian fashion and features more than fifty of the best designers from the region, such as Peter Jensen, Anne Sofie Madsen, Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Acne, Ann-Sofie Back, Filippa K, and Marimekko. Whether you are a novice or expert on Scandinavian fashion, it is definitely worth a read.
