After each fashion show, there is always a “happy-few” crowd of journalists, buyers, celebrities, and friends of the designers rushing to congratulate them backstage.

From having been on the other side, I know how the designers are usually feeling at that time: a mix of exhaustion, “post-partum” feelings, thrills, excitement, and relief combined with some doubts. So it feels good to see all of these friendly faces, even if it can be overwhelming as well!

My first kiss was with Alexander Wang, who had such great energy and took the time to congratulate me on my “baby-to-come” even though so many people were waiting behind me!

IMG_8335 The second kiss was with Olivier Theyskens, who was so relaxed and serene. It was actually shared kisses with Derek Blasberg.
IMG_8334 Third ones were with Jack and Lazaro at Proenza Schouler. I was so impressed to hear Jack mentioning my future baby’s name that same night at their after-show dinner; he had asked me what it was after the actual show but I didn’t expect him to remember in the middle of all of the stress and people to greet!

My last, but not least, NYFW “backstage hugs and kisses” were with Francisco Costa at Calvin Klein…
