The Gucci show, which opened Milan fashion week, is always a huge force of glamour, amazing energy, music, colors, beautiful people, and, of course, great Italian style.

For Spring/Summer 2014, creative director Frida Giannini, who looks incredibly fit just five and a half months after giving birth to her daughter, served a generous dose of sporty-glam fused with magnetic sex appeal. Long, fluid, and languid silhouettes floated down the runway to the tune of Arcade Fire’s “Reflektor,” while pink, rich bordeaux, green, mustard, orange, red, sleek black, and lots of glittery sequins defined the mood for a summer adventure. To set the dress code, Giannini assigned techno fabrics, suede, leather, silk, and other luxe materials to maxi T-shirt dresses, tunics, track pants, bombers, and trenches—seamlessly transitioning her super-sexy muses from day to night. But what pumped up the sex factor were the thigh-high-I-can-almost-see-your-hip splits, plunging-to-there necklines, and transparent layering over crisscrossing see-through bras. Now that’s Frida’s point!
