I received an e-mail a few weeks ago from my friend Rickey Y. Kim, a creative director of Linkin Park and Machine Shop, founded by Linkin Park. He told me Joe Hahn (of Linkin Park) was coming to Seoul for Diesel x Dazed & Confused Korea’s party and a visit to MU:CON Seoul, a global music conference. So I arranged some meetings for Mr. Hahn, and lunch last Saturday with Juun.J was one of them.

Mr. Juun.J, a great fashion designer based in Seoul, is famous for the eponymous menswear label he has shown at Paris fashion week. I always check out his collections and interviews, and he shows decided talent in the global market. We—Juun.J, Joe Hahn, Rickey Y. Kim, DJ Ejay, Juun.J’s PR team, and myself—sat down in the cafeteria of 10 Corso Como Seoul and had a chat over some food. Juun.J dressed the character of Peeta Mellark in the movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and Mr. Hahn worked on the Surface Music Kit technology for Microsoft’s Surface 2 tablets. The topics of conversation included Seoul, fashion, music combining new technology (including Linkin Park’s premium deluxe box set for a new album, Living Things + Recharged), their respective projects, philanthropy, and personal lives. It was just a casual meeting for both of them, but I hope they’ll do creative things together!
