This past weekend I had the joy of celebrating the opening of the one-and-only Waris Ahluwalia’s House of Waris Rare. The handcrafted treasures found their new home in the Explorer’s Library of the Gritti Palace in Venice.
Waris Ahluwalia and me, the night of the celebration.
House of Waris Rare was inspired by Venice’s trading heritage and brings together independent artisans and historic brands from more than fourteen countries around the world, including Italy, Turkey, Brazil, Morocco, India, France, the United States, and the United Kingdom. As a world wanderer, Waris sought out and worked intimately with designers to create a collection that features unique and eclectic items ranging from fine scents and oils to exquisite accessories and objets d’art.

I was very happy to be a part of this precious project and magical weekend in Venice! Waris is a true storyteller and so passionate about everything he does. No wonder he is known as the modern-day Marco Polo, and we are happy to be on the same boat with him…exploring all beauties.
