Recently I attended a private birthday bash for Paris-based Turkish jewelry designer Alican Icoz. We had a great time celebrating Alican’s birthday in my favorite magical place of all time, the nameless Istanbul hotel that was recently named Hazz (and which I wrote about here). My Little Prince, as I call Alican, splits his time between Paris and Istanbul, as all his collections are handmade by the town’s best fine-jewelry artisans. Besides his eponymous brand, Alican also creates the jewelry of Esteban Cortazar’s collection for Net-a-Porter. He is also launching his first menswear collection in June, in Paris. Can’t wait!
