These days I am totally busy with new projects and ongoing ones. Here is my photographic diary of early 2014.

I visited the studio of SLWK. SLWK is a menswear label based in Seoul and made up of the incredible duo of Mr. Lee Hyunsuk and Mr. Lee Inwoo, who have run their own label for over eight years. We talked casually about work and life, for Spectrum‘s next issue, which will be published in March 2014.

Sometimes people ask me, “Are you interested in doing fashion design yourself?” I always respond to them, “I am, but not yet.” But surely I have always been interested in collaborating with a fashion designer to make some special garments. Mr. Kim Sunho, a creative director of Groundwave, and I have teamed up to make a capsule collection for Spring 2014. It’s inspired by paperbacks that I love.

I teamed with Adidas Originals Korea for their Spring 2014 campaign. This image was taken during our location scouting for the project. We didn’t use this area for the shoot, but personally I love the atmosphere of the old apartments in this district.

I joined the judging committee for Generation Next, a part of the Fall 2014 Seoul Fashion Week that features talented young designers. I can’t wait to see their creations.

Here is the new location for Seoul Fashion Week, Dongdaemun Design Plaza & Park (DDP), designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. A funny thing: Dongdaemun is the largest district of fast fashion in Korea, and yet the heart of Seoul’s high-end fashion will be shown in its center. Fall 2014 Seoul Fashion Week begins with DDP’s official opening on March 21, 2014.
