When it comes to food in Italy, you often hear from pasta lovers, pizza aficionados, or ice cream addicts. As odd as it may sound, for me, tomatoes beat them all. This makes Capri a must-visit destination in order for me to satisfy my palate!

Lo Scoglio da Tommaso
With an astonishing sea view from every single angle, this family-owned restaurant has the best and freshest ingredients in town. Antonia welcomes you with open arms; her dad picks the veggies and yummy tomatoes from his garden; her sister dives to search for sea urchins; and her mom is there to make sure everything is great—which, incidentally, is always the case.

Lo Scoglio has by far the tastiest tomato salad in town. A mere look at it is simply mouthwatering. You can either have it with basil and olive oil or with rocca. No matter how you choose, it is simply the very best! Tomatoes come in as many shapes, colors, and flavors as you can imagine, and they are all equally delicious, so make sure to try them all! Every dish is amazing, whether it’s the homemade pasta (especially the zucchini spaghetti), the fresh fish baked in sea salt, or the tomatoes. Just make sure to go hungry!

La Conca del Sogno
Famed for its impeccable service and exotic sea view, this eatery is perfectly situated to accommodate those traveling by boat. Aside from the stunning surroundings, there is, of course, the exquisite food! The pasta is a dream, the tomato salad is very special, and the gambas with grilled fish are killer. You can go by day or venture out for a romantic dinner experience as the fish slip through the moonlit waters below.

Located in the heart of Capri, Aurora is the place to see and be seen. If you are a pizza lover, you will be thrilled to try the super-thin pies. My favorite dish here has nothing to do with tomatoes. It’s the fish carpaccio with vanilla salt and pine nuts!

Le Grottelle
At Le Grottelle, you will enjoy an impressive and dramatic view of the island along with the restaurant’s amazing arugula and tomato salad, fish, and pasta. And guess what? You can eat it all with a guilt-free conscience, because the only way to get here is by foot. It’s about a 20- to 30-minute walk from the town center. A great way to digest it all! :)

Buonocore Gelateria
No trip to Capri is complete without a scoop of mouthwatering ice cream. Buonocore’s amazing flavors are sure to make you fall even more head over heels in love with the island.
