Just a two-hour drive north of Seattle is a strait called Deception Pass that separates Whidbey Island from Fidalgo Island. The bridge that spans the strait is about 180 feet over the water and has a pedestrian footpath that is three feet wide (and without much barrier to keep you from falling!).
The land all around is a national park with awesome hiking trails and stone beaches—super fun for exploring! Truly a beautiful way to spend a Saturday afternoon in the Pacific Northwest!
